Steven Stupp, Ph.D. co-founder and CEO
Steven has more than 20 years experience in the technology industry. He has founded and served on the management teams of several startups. Steve has also contributed to a variety of technology fields, including superconductivity, digital communications, and biosensors, at organizations such as Philips Research and Quantum Corp. He has M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in condensed matter physics from the University of Illinois, and a B.S. degree in physics, summa cum laude, from Tufts University. He was also a visiting scholar at Stanford University in the electrical engineering department. Steve holds 10 patents, and has authored over 35 publications. He is registered patent agent who has written more than 250 patents for startups and Fortune 500 companies, including the first patents for Apple, Inc.'s iPhone.
Lawrence Newman, M.D. Chief Medical Officer
Lawrence is director of The Headache Institute and an attending neurologist at St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital Center, Beth Israel Medical Center and Montefiore Medical Center. He is a professor of clinical neurology at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and the former director of the Montefiore Headache Unit. Board certified in neurology, Dr. Newman is the first in the nation to have completed a formal fellowship in headache, and has trained several neurologists in the subspecialty of headache. He is a member of the National Headache Foundation, the International Headache Society and the American Association for the Study of Headache, for which he also serves on the education committee. Dr. Newman has lectured worldwide and has published extensively on the diagnosis and treatment of headache disorders. He also reviews for several neurology and headache journals.
Rob McCormick co-founder and COO
Rob is a multi-time C-level executive with over 20 years of experience managing emerging technology companies. He has previously been the CFO of Luminescent Technologies (a startup developing computational lithography tools), Fidelica Microsystems (a biometrics startup) and VPacket Communications (a startup that pioneered voice over Internet protocol). In these capacities, he successfully negotiated tens of millions of dollars in investments and venture debt. Rob also helped establish Cellular One, the first cellular telecommunications company in the United States. Rob holds CPA, CMA and CFM certifications. He also has an M.S. degree in administrative science and finance from Johns Hopkins University (were he graduated first in his class), an M.S. degree in logistics systems from the University of Southern California (were he graduated with honors), and B.A. degrees in physiology and psychology from the University of California-Berkeley.
Chris Carpenter co-founder and VP of Engineering
Chris has more than 20 years of experience in architecting and leading systems-engineering development efforts, which resulted in numerous successful product launches. He has held senior engineering management positions at several startups, and previously managed advanced product engineering at Quantum Corp. Chris has B.S. in electrical engineering from the University of Minnesota.
